Michael: I don’t know if you heard or not, but I heard that Junie B. Jones visited Jonathan Daniels Elementary School right here in Keene, New Hampshire – TODAY! I know, lucky kids right; they must have many library cards over there because we have many Junie B. Jones books here at the library and where else are you going to find them?
In some magical electronic world in which information moves around the entire world at lightning speeds other wise known as “The Internet?” Ha- not likely.
Dan: Hey Michael.
Michael: Dan I’m kind of in the middle of a blog right now, people are trying to tell me there’s some magical land known as the-
Dan: The internet? Yea.
Michael: Oh so you have heard of their web of lies!
Dan: No, it’s actually more of a web of information.
Michael: Pshpaw, next you will be telling me you could find the incomparable Junie B. Jones in this fantasyland.
Dan: Actually, yea. The Keene Public Library currently allows audiobook downloads from the internet, including Junie B. Jones books.
Michael: Right, and of course, you’ll have to ride your magical e-steed into your fantasyland.
Dan: Well it’s not a steed exactly but the Digital Bookmobile is stopping by tomorrow to help kick things off here. They’re going to show everyone how to download audio books here at the Keene Public Library onto your Mp3 player and we’ll even be raffling off a 4GB iPod Shuffle donated by the Friends of the Keene Public Library and Diversifed Computers!
Michael: Well, well… Junie B. Jones would never approve of you charlatans pirating her precious audio books.
Dan: It’s not pirating at all. In fact, Junie B. Jones is going to be at our event actually.
Michael: (Jaw drops to the floor) ububuh?!
Dan: The Digital Bookmobile will be here tomorrow Saturday, September 12th 2009 from 10am to 4pm. Junie will be here for a special party at 1 pm.
Michael: Can you get me an autograph? Oh my god really Junie B. Jones? In person?
Dan: I don’t know about an autograph. Junie B. is just a little girl. Bring your camera and you have your picture taken with her. You should come.
Michael: So let it be written, so let it be done!
